    Under the direction of a Champion Marketing lead, manage and grow the brand’s relevance and overall presence within the Los Angeles, California market.  Drive retail traffic and sales by establishing a localized marketing platform focused on social media engagement (i.e. Instagram), influential relationship building and impactful events/activations.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive traffic and sales through successful local marketing strategies and active community engagement
    • Genuinely understand, communicate and promote the culture, heritage, values and mission of Champion and its iconic product stories to customers and staff
    • Increase positive brand perception and credibility within the local community
    • Manage store level social media content generation and community engagement to grow following
    • Plan and execute regular calendar of local store activations and community events
    • Recruit partners and collaborators that will authentically embrace and grow the Champion brand
    • Develop and manage influential client and community relationships
    • Coordinate and distribute product samples for seeding and influencer outreach
    • Be fashion focused and stay updated with seasonal trends/products and maintain a high level of competitive awareness
    • Track and measure impact of local community engagement tactics and activations

    Qualifications

     

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

     

    • Education: College degree or in lieu of degree four years of experience in Retail
    • A passion and understanding of sports-inspired lifestyle apparel and accessories with extensive knowledge of current industry trends
    • 3+ years experience in marketing and/or community engagement with major retail brand
    • Excited to be part of the Champion team and willing to work hard while having fun
    • Experience planning and executing successful local marketing events and initiatives
    • Proven track record managing and executing successful social media presence
    • Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills – a natural connector
    • Strong creative thinking skills
    • Highly self-motivated and empowered
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Strong decision-making skills and ability to plan and execute strategies
    • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team orient environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
    • Styling experience or related experience in apparel styling a plus
    • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Perfect spoken and written English. Multi-lingual is a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and retail business systems
