  • Overview

    Incumbent will provide financial business support to marketing & sales teams for one or more divisions. This position will include ongoing reporting and analysis of monthly/quarterly results as well as budgeting and planning for the annual plan (OPC) and any interim plans for one or more divisions. The role will also involve ad hoc analysis that may be both short-term and long-term/strategic in nature.



    • Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly financial reports for one or more divisions with variance to plan and LY commentary. Provide commentary to Group/Segment level financial reporting. Primary focus is on sales and margin analytics including trade spend (monies paid to customer)
    • Assist in preparing annual budget for one or more divisions. Provide commentary to Group/ Segment level reporting. Primary focus is on sales and margin analytics including trade spend
    • Manages royalty reporting for one or more divisions. Includes calculating royalty expense owed and working with AP to have royalties remitted to licensor. Also provides support for any royalty audits
    • Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting for Marketing spend – Other MAP. Assist marketing team with preparing annual plan for marketing spend and any interim plan updates.
    • Prepare ad-hoc analyses to assist with decision analytics. Requires financial modelling of large data sets and clear identification of assumptions underlying the model.
    • Other duties as requested. These include researching and resolving SAP & data cubes’ out of balance issues, assisting with SGA questions & other duties as needed.
    • Understands cross functional financial concepts (interactions between accounting, Supply Chain Finance and FBS)
    • Can build and manage financial models
    • Familiar with management reporting concepts including comparisons to plan and last year
    • Has solid Excel & Powerpoint skills
    • Frames problems and suggests potential causes
    • Has the ability to interpret data. Uses a range of data & information sources to perform analysis & produce management reports
    • Drafts and participates in presentations
    • Is an active listener and participates in group discussions? Understands and is aware of own impact on others
    • Takes the lead in smaller groups with marketing & sales partners
    • Makes decisions using both a sense of what is correct and logical



    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 


    Required: BS in Business, Accounting or Economics and 2 years of experience in Financial Planning
