  • Overview

    The Visual Merchandising Manager for the Retail Stores (Hanes, Champion, and Maidenform) has responsibility for leading and managing the visual and marketing disciplines for the stores.  Also creates monthly plan-o-grams by working with multiple merchandisers to gather new style & new color information and create individual category plan-o-grams. Creates product placement/department allocation of floor plan map by store type.  

     

    This position is also responsible for developing & publishing Visual Merchandising & Marketing Standards. 

     

    Responsible for presenting recommendations to the applicable Merchandise/Marketing Directors and/or the Vice President of Retail Store Operations.  Responsible for distributing approved plans to stores & teams while maintaining visual merchandising and marketing standards.  Responsible for new & remodeled store floorplan processes.  Must have product line knowledge across all categories offered in all store types to execute this information to the field.  

    Responsibilities

     

    • Visual Merchandising/Marketing
      • Design floor plans and store layouts
      • Create “hero” moments for floor-sets to deliver conversion
      • Build and maintain store visual standards and expectations
      • Creation and maintenance of the store planograms
      • Designs marketing strategy and implement sign package to support in-store promotions
    •  Works with merchandising teams to develop merchandising strategies to dynamically present new & existing products to drive the business.  Provides store teams with monthly plan-o-grams for product placement.
    •  Establishes working knowledge of product management for visual merchandising.  This includes:
      • Having a working knowledge of our sample process and the samples for each season.
      • Developing a detailed knowledge of our brands.
      • Understand target consumers for each brand and the nuances between brands.
      • Understanding in store space allocation by category by store type.
      • Understanding store fixturing and capacity, allowing for the most space efficient and dynamic plan-o-gram creation. 
    • Establishes, develops & improves the new & remodeled store floor plan processes:
      • Work with planning to achieve a profitable product mix and assortment that maximizes sales/profit growth.
      • Work with Director of Merchandising, Planning & Allocation to achieve the most productive financial performance possible.  Monitors sales/tests results to ensure the mix is maximized.
      • Team Lead for Merchandising on Sample & Pop Up Store Assortment.
    •  Marketing
      • Manage Store team site
      • Creates calendar for core team and field organization
      • Procurement for creative and operations
      • Coordinate with E-commerce for email cadence
      • File management for legal and photo/model rights

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

     

    • Requires four-year college degree and 4-6 years’ experience in retail, sales, merchandising, or marketing
    • Strong computer skills are a requirement, with working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Data Management software, preferably Microsoft products. SAP experience is preferred
    • Demonstrated skills in visual, written and verbal communication required
    • Planning and organization skills are required
    • Must be receptive to feedback
    • Able to articulately present results/findings to executive management
    • Desire to impact business results and the ability to enable the team to act strategically
    • Working knowledge of Retail Point of Sale systems
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
    • Must be able to spend significant time standing/walking
    • Must be able to do moderate lifting/moving of products, boxes, etc.
    • Requires some travel to stores
