  • Overview

    The Senior Manager, Marketing - DKNY develops and oversees marketing strategies and tactics to support the sales and profit goals while also driving brand equity for the DKNY business.  Incumbent interacts with multiple outside agencies and with internal cross-functional departments to direct and coordinate implementation of the marketing strategies. Accountable for the development and coordination of marketing/merchandising as it pertains to gross profit, sales growth, and financial planning.  This position reports to VP/GM Shapewear and DKNY Marketing.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop marketing strategies to drive profit, sales growth, and brand equity for the DKNY Intimate apparel and Legwear businesses.
    • Coordinates marketing efforts, product lines, and distribution efforts worldwide with internal HBI partners and Donna Karan International corporate.
    • Acts as lesion and direct marketing contact for DKI corporate on day-to-day activities and reporting.
    • Coordinate activities to develop highly integrated and effective brand marketing plans. Evaluate program and effectiveness to continually optimize marketing mix.
    • Interacts/collaborates with Merchandising, Product Development, CMG, Forecasting, Planning and other cross-functional areas to develop and execute new products and ensure ongoing productivity of existing product lines.
    • Directs the work of a Marketing Analyst to ensure that marketing activities are executed accurately and on time. Develops marketing subordinates for increased responsibilities.
    • Drives/takes appropriate action regarding the marketing activities of competitors; performs situation analysis of the competitive environment. This includes, but is not limited to market assessments.
    • Activities include management of brand communications including advertising, public relations, digital and social media campaigns as well as driving cross-category initiatives.
    • Manage brand budgets including OPC planning and monthly budget reporting.
    • Manages inventory appropriately.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

     

    • Four year college degree, and 6-8 years marketing experience; MBA strongly preferred.
    • Brand management, marketing communications, and agency management experience are a plus.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines is essential.
    • Experience with Designer brands and Department Stores preferred.
    • Fluent in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
    • Excellent leadership and strong communications/interpersonal skills and a high level of personal performance are necessary to drive key initiatives.
    • The successful candidate will be highly collaborative.
    • Advanced ability to analyze and report sales/profit results from all marketing activities.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to deliver effective presentations.
    • Must be a team player with impeccable business ethics and a positive attitude.
