  • Overview

    Provide support and training distribution center associates, supervisors, operations management, on the effective work processes, standard work, work methods and utilization of data and reporting to track key KPIs in order to meet/exceed distribution goals. Assist in the development and maintenance engineered work standards on ecommerce fulfillment and traditional distribution processes. Assigned process improvement projects by the Director of Distribution. Provide the critical thinking, in depth data analysis and work place solutions within the distribution center and overall distribution network. Will utilize strong analytic skills, data mining and database development to drive continuous improvement.


    • To develop, update and maintain the engineered work standards within the distribution network. This can be accomplished by traditional stopwatch time studies or pre determined time standards.
    • Develop and analyze complex and detailed data and reporting to synthesize information leading to problem resolution and continuous improvement. Supply critical feedback to concerned parties, and formulate plans for operator/process improvement.  
    • Develop and Maintain accurate plant layouts and equipment utilization in a dynamic environment.  
    • Troubleshoot any issues related to the operational performance of the facility.
    • Work closely with the Director of Distribution and the operations leadership team on assigned projects. These projects will be process improvement based. 
    • The ability to travel to distribution centers in the HBI network.


    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 


    • Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar related degree, or Bachelors' Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar related degree with 7 years experience in a distribution environment.  Demonstrated work experience with data mining and data base development is required.
    • Must be proficient with Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and AutoCad.
    • Strong project management skills are required.
    • Candidates should be familiar with Warehouse Management Systems. Experience with WM 2006 is preferred.
    • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.  Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
    • Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation/logistics and/or fulfillment/distribution centers is preferred.
