    The Sales Leader is directly responsible for in store execution and volume growth for the following Hanesbrands Inc. product lines at retail for all genders as applicable: Hanes, Bali, Lilyette by Bali, Maidenform, Playtex, Love My Curves, Hanes, Donna Karen Intimates, Hanes Hosiery, DKNY Hosiery, Polo Ralph Lauren Men’s Underwear and Sleepwear, Polo Ralph Lauren Boy’s Underwear, Champion Innerwear and Active wear.

    The Sales Leader has direct  Sales Merchandiser and POS volume growth responsibility. The Sales Leader works directly with their Regional Sales Manager and the appropriate  Internal Communication Administrators  regarding all product programs, product launches and product presentation at retail.

     

    This position has direct responsibility for the supervision of  Sales Merchandisers within the Sales Merchandising And Retail Training Team to drive POS sales.   This position is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, retaining, and supervising Sales Merchandisers within a specific geographic area. Training of  Sales Merchandisers is to include all Best Practice Policies, Human Resources Policies, company procedures, merchandising/ display techniques, and procedures for inventory processes, point-of-sale, and methods to indirectly increase net sales of all Hanesbrands Inc. product lines as noted above. Proper training and communication with direct report Sales Merchandisers is critical to meet overall objectives.

     

    The Sales Leader is responsible for managing in store execution at the account and door level as well as direct relationships in store. This includes execution of sales/marketing initiatives using account specific floor standards (POG’s and ZOG’s), approved point of sale materials, executing approved floor/sale event set-ups, inventory stocking and basic merchandising.

     

    The   Sales Leader will also interact heavily with the Territory Trainers to ensure appropriate training is provided to new hire sales merchandisers  on driving sales, accessing and understanding POS reports, product information, in store merchandising standards, point of sale  materials, as well as reporting competitive information to Sales, Merchandising and Marketing.

     

    The Sales Leader is responsible for the direct communication of all account door activity between accounts and Field Sales Account Management and Marketing from each of the individual brands. The Sales Leader is responsible for providing direction and guidance to the Sales Merchandising And Retail Training Sales Leads and assigned SM’s in identifying and developing programs within their assigned accounts at store level to drive sales. In order to achieve desired results, this position must develop and establish policies and procedures to enhance a team atmosphere that fosters respect, leadership, innovation and flexibility.

     

    The Sales Leader is responsible for all activities within the accounts assigned. This requires the Sales Leader to be knowledgeable in the strategies, key initiatives and programs for as many as 10-12 accounts.

    The Sales Leader works with their RSM and peer group to ensure all programs are communicated to the SMART Team organization on a consistent basis, evaluating processes for improvements, making recommendations on marketing and/or sales opportunities thru communication to the appropriate Internal Communication Administrator on store level programs/activity designed to grow sales as well as communication on special projects.

     

    The Sales Leader is responsible to ensure all Special Products for Service Accounts as well as all other account requests are completed in the timeline assigned.

     

    The Sales Leader is responsible for development of their direct reports to enhance their skill sets and/or coach them on career opportunities.

     

    The Sales Leader interacts with various levels of staff within the Sales, Human Resources, Internal Communication Administrators and retail personnel.

    Responsibilities

    Affectively leading a team of Sales Leads and Sales Merchandisers to positively impact both Net Shipment and Account Retail Sales at the door level.

     

    • Ensure team has access to required information to affectively drive sales at retail.
    • Interacts with various levels of management within internal Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Talent and Acquisitions and all levels of In Store Personnel.
    • Prepare and submit required documentation on employees supervised including payroll information, expense reimbursements, status changes, performance evaluations, etc.
    • Must follow proper administrative requirements as well as selection procedures in hiring and training new personnel. Recruit, select, and affectively train new hires accordance with established
    • Responsible for monthly review of actual expenses versus budget; making adjustments as needed to deliver on plan by year end.
    • Assure effective and timely communications/feedback regarding execution of events, new programs, marketing/sales initiatives, competitive information and store specific
    • Analyze detailed volume criteria for accounts to ensure proper service is
    • Complete Sales Merchandisers work with’s as required based on annual plan to insure that standards are being maintained, proper service is provided and point-of-sale materials and other programs are effectively executed.
    • Establish relationships at Account Region, District and Door level.
    • Ensure that visual display requirements are maintained for assigned
    • Maintain current knowledge of all product lines, in store standards and executional directives.
    • Assure that Territory Trainers affectively educate/train new hire Sales Merchandisers per the Sales Trainer New Hire Outline.
    • Responsible for execution of special projects for service and non-service accounts/doors as assigned by Corporate. Responsible to ensure projects are completed within the assigned time frame, completed with accuracy and all information is communicated as requested to enable Sales and Marketing to utilize the information in improving
    • Plan and coordinate Team conference calls as needed with Sales Merchandisers servicing assigned accounts to ensure in store focus is on driving sales and to further enhance communication of in store issues and opportunities within sales and marketing. Any  Human Resources issues and new policies should be detailed during these calls.
    • Attend meetings as required by RSM and/or the Director, Sales Merchandising And Retail
    • Voice conditions (positive or negative) regarding retailer's door standards to appropriate sales management. Also address issues with store management as
    • Provide feedback to appropriate Internal Communications Administrator on effectiveness of point of sale materials when requested.
    • Provide motivational and teambuilding leadership. Annual documented career counseling sessions as requested for Sales Merchandisers.
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously as well as communicate with various functional areas at all
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by management with a sense of urgency.
    • Travel and overnight stays could be required. Travel would vary based on scope of geographic responsibility of area assigned.  The Sales Leader must travel to work with the Sales Merchandisers to conduct store visits as detailed in their Work With Planners on a seasonal basis to ensure store standards and relationships are being developed  and maintained.
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously as well as communicate with various functional areas at all levels.

    Qualifications

     

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

     

    College degree required. Two plus years of experience in a sales or retail environment preferred. One to two years’ direct supervisory experience helpful. A strong knowledge of personal computer skills and sales information systems is important.  Proficiency in e-mail, Excel, and Word required.
