  • Overview

    Responsible for the performance of the department functions for MASS Store/Mid Tier Intimates Distribution Centers, including but not limited to safety, operations, quality, service, cost, administration and systems in conjunction with the management teams within the facility.



    1. Responsible for ensuring the highest levels of safety and morale through implementation and execution of all HBI safe work standards and holding a leadership role in the safety steering committee and disseminating those standards and expectations to all HBI employees, contract workers, temporaries and visitors to the facility.
    1. Positively impact customer service fill rate and on-time fill rate by facilitating the flow of products and orders through the distribution center in accordance with customer requirements.
    1. Coordinate workflow through the department in support of and cooperation with other departments within the Kings Mountain facilities.
    1. Orchestrate alternative work flows for stretch capacity requirements through coordinating staffing to meet increased and reduced workloads with both HBI and contract/temp services to maximize efficiencies and reduce cost during volatile demand swings and across all shifts.
    1. Interact with production planning, manufacturing, customer service, quality and other supply chain functional areas to ensure compliance to internal and external standards and requirements while meeting and/or exceeding departmental, facility and corporate goals.
    1. Implementation of lean and GPS concepts and continued growth and support of existing lean programs and GPS standards.
    1. Continued support of established processes and procedures to maintain and improve inventory accuracy.
    1. Support management established KPI’s, projects, and programs.
    1. Organize and develop departmental staff and set the standard for continuous improvement.
    1. All other required functions and activities not specifically mentioned to support the facility and supply chain.



    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 


    • Four year degree in Business Administration or Distribution and/or related equivalent experience.



    • 3-5 years experience in operations, distribution and/or logistics management.



    • General supervisory/managerial experience, strong systems orientation in Manhattan Software PKMS/WM, basic knowledge of MS Office, Kronos Timekeeping and Access.  
    • Skills in planning, staffing, organizational development, budgeting and communication are required. 
    • The ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse organizations and individuals toward productivity objectives is critical.
