  • Overview

    This position is responsible for daily planning and follow-up required to deliver excellent operational results, meeting customer compliance and service level agreements. This position manages the complexity and generates the sense of urgency necessary for order completion and accuracy, while maintaining a safe and clean facility and driving continuous improvement. This role will analyze, review and report all data and information in support of all established KPIs and programs for the order fulfillment department. The manager will also put appropriate controls in place to prevent picking errors from being made and/or shipped to HbI customers.


    • Daily KPI Execution: Plan and prioritize available production orders to create the sense of urgency needed to ensure all customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met, daily and weekly. Promote the highest level or expectations for achieving established standards in Safety, Quality and Productivity. Provide situational leadership to all Order Fulfillment leaders and employees for strategic execution.
    • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and oversight to order fulfillment department managers and management teams to ensure highest level of employee performance and morale while driving continuous improvement and managing change in the order fulfillment process. Promote an environment of learning and continuous growth.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement though Lean concepts and problem solving techniques. Organize and develop department staff at all levels to set the standard of continuous improvement at the individual, departmental, facility and organizational levels.
    • Production Planning and Budgeting: Produce and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly data related to the site's performance to budget. Take an active role in planning for annual budget cycles in support of the Director.
    • Interaction with Stakeholders and Resources Outside of Production: Interact with transportation, IT, marketing, forecasting, production planning, customer service, quality, finance, facilities management and senior leadership to ensure compliance to internal and external standards and requirements while meeting and/or exceeding shipment and budgetary plans.



    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 



    • Four-year degree in Business, Engineering or Logistics/Supply Chain Management. Candidate may exchange 1 year of DC leadership experience for each year of education requirements
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in operations, distribution and/or supply chain management




    • 3 plus years of leadership in ecommerce fulfillment operations



    • Ecommerce fulfillment operations experience a plus
    • General managerial experience,
    • Strong systems orientation in Manhattan Software PkMS or comparable WMSAdvanced knowledge and proficiency in MS office, especially MS Excel
    • Demonstrated skills in staffing, budgeting, communication and organizational development
    • Demonstrated track record of process improvement/Lean initiatives
