  • Overview

    The objective of the Director- International Americas is to lead the finance organization for Latin America which consists of full scope accounting and finance responsibilities as well as to lead the FBS personnel who support Canada, Export & Puerto Rico with planning, reporting & analytics (whose accounting responsibilities are managed by the WS Finance staff). The incumbent will be a key part of the leadership team managing the region and provide direction to the local finance staff as well as acting as a liaison with the Corporate finance and other functions.


    • Business partner for VP Managing Dir. Comm. International Americas / Mexico
    • Provide early warning to VP Innerwear Finance of pending large / unplanned expense items or risks to achievement of financial plans
    • Responsibility for leading the planning of the entire P&L and Balance Sheet for the LAR region during all planning cycles with specific reference to achieving / beating prior plan or explaining any shortfall in clear business terms.
    • Responsible for leading the planning of the P&L for Canada, Export & Puerto Rico as the Balance sheet is planned by WS-Finance. Lead FBS support (via dotted line) to provide decision support for the business leaders.
    • Partnering with VP. International Americas to improve profitability over time and to achieve / exceed plan each quarter. Partnering with VP International Americas to identify key business indicators that improve timely, accurate decision making.
    • Understanding the impact of changes in exchange rates on business profitability, including but not limited to purchases of inventory, pricing impacts for the local customers and hedging.
      • Oversight of local analysis to support mitigating pricing actions for movement in exchange rates or other cost factors
      • Oversight of local analysis to support balance of internal production vs sourced product to balance capacity and FX impacts
    • With regard to Mexico – The incumbent needs to lead the Mexico finance team in the development of more efficient and effective processes. Improve the decision analytics that support the business in advance of decisions vs reporting on the impact after the fact. Improve the efficiency of finance related transaction processing in Mexico liaising with the Global Process Owners in Winston-Salem.
    • Lead understanding within the finance team to explain all parts of the P&L even where expenses may be impacted by corporate policies e.g. hedging
    • Ensure that each country (Mexico/CA, Brazil, Argentina) has a solid understanding of both the balance sheet and the cash flow. Provide early warning to the VP Innerwear Finance of opportunities or risks on the Balance Sheet.
    • Provide support regarding accounting and tax questions / liaison with corporate functions
    • Provide integration support as required and/or major system upgrade as required
    • Ensure compliance with policy 505 for the region



    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 


    • Bachelor Degree required; MBA/CMA preferred.
    • Minimum 10+ years financial planning and analysis required
    • Additional finance functional experience preferred.
    • Supervisory experience required

    • Travel: must be able to travel internationally
    • Language: Spanish required
