Overview

Under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the Store Supervisor is responsible for supporting the overall operations with an emphasis on creating and maintaining receiving and inventory standards in back-of-house as well as throughout the store to consistently deliver a vibrant and exclusive Champion shopping experience. Assists the Store Management Team in supervising the store team to achieve sales objectives, maintaining store policy and procedures, and assumes responsibility for the receiving and inventory functions of the store. The Store Supervisor will also act as a role model to other associates to support store performance and in implementing inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform store opening and closing procedures including counting register funds, opening and closing the registers and securing the facility
  • Assist the management team to achieve performance goals and execute standard operating procedures
  • Assist in processing all inventory transfers accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure a high level of organization in all areas of the stockroom, including store supplies and fixtures
  • Manage store supply inventory and create monthly supply order method and communicate issues to management in a timely manner
  • Be knowledgeable about inventory levels in stockroom, conduct customer merchandise checks and refill floor as needed
  • Supports store management overall to ensure work tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Supports Assistant Store Manager in execution of visual presentation when necessary
  • Provide a best in class shopping experience for all customers while on the selling floor

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

 

  • High school Diploma/GED. College degree preferred
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask
  • 2+ years’ experience in high volume retail environment
  • Store Supervisor experience preferred
  • Inventory control
  • Leadership experience
  • Excited to be part of the Champion team and willing to work hard while having fun
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and retail business systems
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, and ability lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Clear understanding of retail metrics including key performance indicators necessary to drive sales (Traffic, Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Average Unit Retail)

 

 Hours:  

  • Required to work a minimum of 36 hours each week
  • Holidays and Weekends as necessitated by peak customer traffic
  • Limited Overtime as necessary (peak selling periods, scheduling demands)
