Demonstrates up to date expertise in Merchandising and applies this to our action plans. Provides support to C9 Merchandising team to help drive assortment vision of the season, the execution of strategies and business objectives.


  • Build relationships with Cross-Functional team and make recommendations to drive results. Communicates effectively on a daily basis with internal and external team members. Aids in development notes and tasks, most often as output of cross functional team meetings and weekly internal team confererance calls/downloads.
  • Partners with the Office Manager to ensure all various meeting needs are met.
  • Oversees all Buyer Ad/TDC/ISM sample needs for the Minneapolis office which includes, but is not limited to: ordering samples, following up with vendors regarding late or incomplete sample shipments, maintaining an orderly reference collection, and dispatching them to Target associates.      
  • Reviews each sample to ensure the design and quality is correct and alerts management of any inconsistencies- work with target team to ensure all samples are provided in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes Activewear market trends, gathering information from decision key, benchmarks, and competition.
  • Provide findings and recommendations to manager.
  • Responsible for the preparation of milestone and team meetings. Preparation includes gathering materials such as color boards, fabric swatches, CAD boards, and samples etc. The merchandising assistant is also responsible for any documents (line plans, prices lists and CAD decks) needed for these meetings.  


Minimum Education and Experience Required: 


  • B.S. or B.A. degree
  • 1 year prior related experience
  • Must have excellent communicative/ interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Must be detail oriented with strong follow up and organizational skills
