Overview

The Senior SharePoint Sr. Developer will play a central role in the solution lifecycle including: responding to feature and configuration requests, working with the business and peers to develop solutions, including software design, development, customization and integration. The SharePoint Sr. Developer understands the business and departmental requirements to design and develop global solutions where SharePoint is the designated solution. This position requires to have a very good understanding of business side and our process as he/she will also be taking the Business Analyst role during many of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate development efforts with offshore developers and other technical teams to ensure tasks are well understood and completed on time.
  • SharePoint Site and Central Administration (configuring and managing SharePoint Services, site collection administration, site creation, feature configuration, performance optimization etc.)
  • Supports all areas of development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solutioning, development, testing, and release management.
  • Implementation of SharePoint-based solutions for Collaboration portals, Forms and Workflows.
  • Develop custom forms and workflows using Nintex Workflow.
  • In-depth knowledge of OOB SharePoint features and capability to keep customizations at a minimal.
  • Understand Master page functionality and branding concepts.
  • Document detailed design, functional and technical specifications in developing SharePoint solutions
  • Provide thought leadership on best practices for solution design, with a thorough understanding of enterprise application integration including the use of business process and forms, enterprise search, business intelligence, collaboration services, collaborative document management, and portal interaction
  • Understanding of SharePoint 2013 architecture and the ability to architect, develop, design, deploy and support solutions in a shared services architecture
  • Create and execute test plans to ensure quality and adherence to standards
  • Develop, execute, and document procedures and standards adhering to SDLC best practices
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis and take appropriate action to remediate issues
  • Working with internal and external resources to ensure solutions, design, and development adhere and fit best practices for HBI environment.
  • Work with business and management for proof of concept solutions
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on capabilities of SharePoint
  • Support our Office 365 tenant, including but not limited to, SharePoint Online and Project Online (PWA) as well as Skype, Teams, OneDrive, Flow, Forms, Planner

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • At least 8+ years hands-on SharePoint Development experience creating SharePoint features and solutions including web parts, master pages, custom page layouts, content types, workflows, and site templates
  • Experience with design, development and deployment of enterprise level portals and collaboration solutions client side and server side on SharePoint 2013 platform using CSOM, JavaScript, Angular, jQuery, ASP.NET, C#, power shell scripting, CAML, LINQ, XML/XSLT, HTML and CSS, bootstrap
  • Strong Business Analyst skills are highly desirable.
  • Experience with SharePoint-based solutions (custom apps, web parts, workflows (Nintex and SharePoint), Forms, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of related technologies such as: SQL Server, Internet Information Server and Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint profile synchronization with Active Directory
  • Experience with complete Software Development Life Cycle and iterative development methodologies such as Agile, with the ability to transform documented use cases into prototypes and finished solutions
  • Experience with Office 365 development is a must
  • Knowledge/support of O365 tools (Skype, OneDrive, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication, effective consulting, time management and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on a team as well as independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines
  • Nintex experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
