The selected candidate will support the Chief Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) and Investor Relations function by:

  • Positively influence and educate equity/debt analysts and investors regarding the company
  • Develop persuasive communication presentations for analysts, investors, and shareholders communicating Hanesbrands Inc.’s value proposition
  • Provide peer group perspectives and competitive insights to the CIRO


  • Manage Financial Communications / Investor Relations functions
  • Develop communication materials including earnings call scripts, analyst day presentations, investor presentations and Board meeting materials
  • Respond to inquiries from institutional and retail investors as well as sell-side analysts
  • Gather/Analyze business, industry and investor data using internal and external resources
  • Develop/Maintain IR-related peer group analyses, including news flow, financial models and valuation comps
  • Prepare management reporting on the peer group as well as macroeconomic and financial market trends as it relates to Investor Relations and Hanesbrands Inc’s stock
  • Provide competitive analyses and ad-hoc projects as assigned
  • Manage Investor Relations website
  • Prepare investor-related briefing materials for members of senior management
  • Accompany senior management to meetings with the financial community


Minimum Education and Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following skills, educational background and work experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or finance required; MBA preferred. Understanding of apparel industry and competitors a plus
  • Ten years of broad business experience in multiple disciplines such as investor relations, investment banking, sell-side or buyside research, communications, finance, marketing, or sales.
  • Interpersonal skills:
    • Strong interpersonal skills, requiring tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal information sources and external audiences
    • Outstanding judgment required to continually balance the competitive and confidentiality requirements with the demands and needs of the investment community
    • Self-directed with strong initiative to problem solve
    • Demonstrated influencing and leadership skills
    • Ability to manage and perform effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Strong financial and analytic skills:
    • Financial modeling and analysis
    • Ability to assimilate complex operating and financial information in a timely fashion
    • In-depth knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel. FactSet or Bloomberg experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to translate operating and financial strategies as well as complex concepts into simple, effective message points, both verbal and written, to market the corporation's investment story
    • Ability to address questions in a quick, articulate manner using sound judgment to communicate appropriate content based on the needs of the target audience
