The Timeline Manager has the primary responsibility for improving adherence to C9/Champion Activewear product development timelines from concept through production commencement by organizing, planning and initiating product development timelines; utilizing a standardized project management methodology and tools to effectively monitor timelines; facilitating non-conformance resolution; reporting status and communicating to the cross-functional team members and senior management.


The Timeline Manager is accountable for the following key areas in managing timelines from concept to production-ready status:

  • Timeline Planning – develop and maintain seasonal and ad-hoc detailed milestone timelines, understand critical paths and dependencies, and establish issue- and risk- tracking methodology and team communication protocol.    
  • Timeline Execution/Implementation – effectively organize and lead regular team meetings/communications – timely communication with the team on meeting agenda, meeting minutes/follow-up actions. Regularly communicate timeline status to management at different levels. Actively engage with the cross-functional team on follow-up actions and resolution of issues in a timely manner.
  • Timeline Monitoring and Control – update timeline tracking tools regularly to reflect the latest development progress and status; identify any late tasks, issue/risk areas for visibility and actions to follow.
  • Process Improvement – identify areas for improved milestone clarity, timing, documentation, and/or alignment with other business unit practices.


Minimum Education and Experience Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Textiles, Business or Engineering.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of demonstrated timeline/project management experience, developing detailed project plans and leading cross-functional teams to successful execution. Some travel may be required.
  • Work experience in textile/apparel industries preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills in (1) identifying critical paths, key milestones, dependencies and resource requirements under a complex HBI environment; (2) providing objective analysis and assessment to senior management and the project team on project status, progress, and potential risks and opportunities along the project’s lifecycle.
  • Experience working with timeline / work flow management tools
  • Superior organizational, communication, problem solving and sense of task urgency skills.
  • Good negotiation, influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities/projects and work through ambiguous requirements.
  • Strong self-motivator and results-oriented individual.
  • General knowledge of apparel development process a plus
