Responsible for providing supervision for the maintenance of the physical facilities and ensure equipment is well maintained and operational.


  • Evaluate operational needs, prioritize and assign personnel in a timely effective manner in order to manage multiple and changing priorities.
  • Assess the skills and abilities of staff and structure developmental plans to enhance the skills and understanding of increasingly technical operations.
  • Develop and maintain operational readiness through knowledge and planning, schedule maintenance through preventive and predictive analysis.
  • Understand the critical nature of production processes and minimize the impact of maintenance on facility modifications.
  • Ensure plant equipment is well maintained through PM program to minimize operational costs, including housekeeping and grounds.
  • Ensure compliance of building and safety codes, OSHA requirements and environmental regulations.
  • Establish and maintain relationship with suppliers and contractors and ensure their compliance with safety regulations, codes, OSHA and environmental requirements/regulations.
  • Assist in development of maintenance budget and maintain positive variance.
  • Must be proactive in preventing problems and utilize effective problem solving skills to minimize risk of inefficiencies in operating.


Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Four year college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years  as a maintenance/technical support person in a facility environment.
  • General supervisory / managerial experience, knowledge of distribution functions. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary for interaction with internal and external customers. 
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude a must.
