  • Overview

    Be a part of the fast growing Champion Clife business that is distributed to Specialty retail accounts. Support the Merchandising team wholesale product development strategies while developing complementary special styles for key strategic accounts including our own Champion stores.


    Line Development

    • Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing & Strategic Accounts to identify market voids / big ideas
    • Assist in the development and execution of the product line with Merchandising, Design and OPS
    • Create quarterly SMU line plans
    • Responsible for maintaining costs and achieving margin goals
    • Participate in key seasonal meetings: Framework, line reviews
    • Seasonal competitive analysis
    • Daily interface and communication with other functional areas of HBI
    • Maintain records of seasonal line development

    Line Execution

    • Order and follow through on all samples needed for meetings, photo shoots, account requests, fashion shows
    • Responsible for coordinating all planograms, visuals, and samples for account presentations
    • Responsible for finalization of all product thru adoption to production with other key functional groups
    • Represent Merchandising at PD&D meetings and other tracking meetings


    • Manage numerous projects, seasons of development at any one time while adhering to numerous timelines and account needs.
    • Account meeting preparation – coordinate materials to include samples, color cards, cads, planograms, marketing materials


    Minimum Education and Experience Required:


    • BS/BA, Merchandising or fashion related preferred
    • Excellent communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong computer skills and efficiency
    • Understanding of the specialty retail market
    • Good sense of color, fashion, presentation communication both written and account meetings ability
    • Frequent travel required
    • Strong team player
    • Self motivated and works well in a matrixed organization
    • 3- 5 years experience in apparel product development/manufacturing and or apparel retail experience
