  • Overview

    The Tax Analyst is a support role for all aspects of the corporate income tax compliance functions, including the federal, state, and foreign income tax returns; conducting tax research; assisting with forecasting tax payments and payable balances, and a variety of projects as they arise.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and review workpapers and returns for federal, state, and foreign tax obligations, ensuring compliance with tax laws
    • Perform detailed analysis of book to tax differences and understand the technical merits of the differences
    • Assist with open audits as needed
    • Collaborate with tax accounting to continuously improve the connection between the provision and return processes
    • Partner with Finance teams to understand the corporate accounting policy changes and special transactions and to communicate and analyze the tax impact of these changes and transactions
    • Perform tax research related to tax positions and the impact of income tax law changes needed
    • Participate in special projects/perform other duties as needed

    Qualifications

     Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
    • CPA certificate preferred
    • Minimum of 1 years of experience in corporate income taxation is required with experience with large consolidated and multi-state corporations
    • Experience in public accounting is highly preferred
    • Experience with automated tax systems (OneSource or GoSystem), & Microsoft software (especially Excel)
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Proven ability to multi-task within a fast moving environment
