  • Overview

    The AP Manager will support our Central and Latin American divisions in our Global Transaction Shared Service (GTS) center environment.

     

    This individual will implement and centralize standard accounts payable processes and act as a central resource for internal and external GTS customers.

     

    This manager will work with in-country vendors and have direct line management of  large Winston-Salem based team

     

    The Manaager contributes to the implementation and continuous improvement of Global Tranaction Services (GTS) processes to support Shared Services Organization functions in a highly complex global environment.  Participates in the business process design and delivery of solutions that support the vision and strategy of the department and the company’s strategic business plans. 

     

    The Manager analyzes business process trends, assesses the impact of emerging processes and technology enablers on current processes and proposes solutions that drive performance of GTS teams.  Manages line level resources and other third party relationships while ensuring the delivery of high-quality processes for internal and external customers.

     

    The Manager fosters an environment of collaboration.  Inspires, motivates and guides others.  Develops leadership skills in others by coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing and reinforcing.  Encourages and facilitates cooperation within the organization and with global customer groups; fosters commitment, team spirit, pride and trust. Expresses technical and business concepts, ideas, opinions and conclusions so that others understand or are persuaded to act.

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:

    • Participate in short and long-term planning sessions with senior management to implement process improvements in the assigned functional area.
    • Collaborate with business partners and senior management in order to provide business solutions to meet user needs.
    • Promotes an understanding of roles, processes and activities to the business partners.
    • Manages the development and implementation of integrated initiatives to support the business and GTS strategy.
    • Interacting with internal and external customers to deliver a high standard of customer service.
    • Report on KPIs to Management
    • Accounts Payable month end accruals
    • Monthly sub-ledger closing activities
    • Manages staff directly responsible for day-to-day activities  ensuring successful completion of  transaction processing, error resolution, and payment cycles.
    • Develops and manages key performance indicators that drive continuous improvement and staff performance.
    • Manages third party relationships to maximize value to the business.
    • Contributes to subject matter expertise and influence to the development of standards and changes to systems/applications/processes to support those standards.
    • Supports internal and external audit needs.
    • Manages the development and delivery of training for internal and external users to ensure productive use of existing and new systems.
    • Ensures adherence to applications security procedures, change control guidelines and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

     

    Bachelor degree required

    Preferred experience:

    • 3 years relevant experience
    • Accounting background including Accounts Payable
    • Staff management experience including both non-exempt and exempt level employees
    • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large, cross-functional teams and influencing management and key stakeholders
    • Demonstrated ability to implement one or more business project(s) on time and within budget
    • Demonstrated experience with Global Business Processes
    • Shared Services experience in a managerial role
    • Fluent in Spanish preferred
