  • Overview

    This position is responsible for driving growth and profitability of HBI product lines across our entire portfolio of brands. The winning candidate will be charged with owning a range of business elements that will vary from new channel/customer research to onboarding new customers, to potential contracts, spending and inventory/assortment management, to ongoing sales responsibility, etc. They are expected to align with a cross-functional team including marketing, replenishment, planning, sales and customer service to maximize ROS for Hbi.  While they will not have day to day responsibility for all activities affecting their business, they have full accountability to set a strategy for their business and ensure all supporting functions are executing against that strategy.


    • Take ownership of the sales and marketing programs to achieve results consistent with volume and profit objectives.
    • Formulate strategies to identify new channels and customer opportunities.
    • Develop strategies for a cross-functional team to execute against product and marketing strategies. 
    • Own strategy and leadership of cross-functional onboarding and ramp up teams. 
    • Define, develop and implement strategic long-term partnership with new customers.
    • Formulate strategies to optimize trade funds to maximize sales, profitability, and grow share. 
    • Build communication and cooperation among functional management areas that impact account needs to deliver more marketable, competitive products that will provide opportunities to the account, and drive growth for HBI.
    • The scope of the position includes market analysis, account sales analysis, understanding of all sales and marketing programs, and development of product replenishment and selling strategies. 
    • Develop strong relationships with account management, buying, replenishment and financial planning staffs.




    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Minimum 10 years sales, or marketing experience in the apparel industry and/or CPG experience.
    • Experience managing a promotional trade budget.
    • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills required.
    • Strong communication skills (oral and written), including excellent presentation skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to take an idea and drive to the marketplace.
    • Retail Math; must fully understand retail scorecard drivers, and be able to manage detailed analytics.
    • Possess strong tactical skills; able to manage detailed execution plans, both internally and externally.
    • Proven ability to build strong business relationships.
    • Ability to optimize performance of a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.
    • Proven ability as a “thinker”, a “strategist” and a “problem solver”!
    • Travel required.
