  • Overview

    The incumbent is responsible for managing analytic, tactical and operational aspects of sales for the Walmart and Sam’s Club LSA team. The position is responsible for providing support to the Sr. Manager of Customer Development – WM/Sam’s Club as well as to the HBI cross-functional team supporting the business, with a focus to drive top line sales while managing Retailer specific productivity metrics. Key functional areas include analysis of Point of Sale data via Retail Link, LSA inventory management, weekly replenishment analysis, report development and maintenance, and preparation of presentations for sales support. 

    Responsibilities

    The Customer Development Analyst will primarily focus on analysis of the business through a deep understanding of Retailer level sales and inventory, seasonal demand, and weekly replenishment.

     

    Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Exhibit an in-depth knowledge of and tap into multiple data sources and perform analysis, including sales, inventory levels, productivity, service level reporting, sell-thru and other key financial metrics.
    • Assist the sales team management in identifying business building opportunities, sales trends, micro and macro-marketing opportunities, etc.
    • Key participant in weekly replenishment demand analysis which includes the setup, maintenance and monitoring of programs fulfilled through Walmart’s Global Replenishment System
    • Development of reports – must be able to provide a variety of layouts and views with an in depth understanding of excel.
    • Development of power point presentations to support management and sales team.

    The successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and possess the interpersonal skills to successfully interact across functions.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

    • 4-year college degree (BA, BS) or 6+ years business/analytical experience in lieu of degree.
    • 2-4 year related sales support, sales analytic, or related experience.
    • Previous Walmart and/or Sam’s Club business experience is desired, but not required
    • Demonstrate effectiveness in management of multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication (oral and written) skills
    • Strong analytical and computer skills, including advanced skills in Excel and Access.
    • Results oriented.
    • Periodic Travel required
