  • Overview

    The Senior Manager Marketing serves as the brand marketing leader for our large Intimate Apparel brands:  Maidenform, Bali and Playtex.  This position is responsible for the development of brand strategy and marketing plans to support annual sales and profit growth as well as long-term brand equity goals.  

     

    The Senior Manager Marketing works with the Intimate Apparel business unit Marketing, Sales, B2C and Creative teams to develop and manage marketing plans to drive brand growth.  With the rapid shift to online purchasing for intimate apparel and the ability to leverage digital media to engage consumers with highly targeted messaging, this position requires expertise in digital and social media, and a growth mindset.

     

    In addition to working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to drive key brand initiatives and managing outside agencies to develop highly integrated marketing plans, this position regularly interfaces with business unit GM’s, Presidents, Group Presidents and the CEO. 

    Responsibilities

    • Provides marketing leadership to develop and drive annual and LRP brand marketing plans for Maidenform, Bali and Playtex, supporting brand sales, growth and equity objectives.
    • Responsible for marketing consistency across all categories and consumer touchpoints, ensuring that product, packaging, websites and all consumer communications are aligned with overall brand positioning. 
    • Develop marketing strategies and integrated communication plans to drive brand sales growth. Coordinate marketing communications plans with B2C marketing team to maximize sales and ROI for HanesBrands’ owned e-commerce sites and retail stores.
    • Responsible for evaluation of brand marketing programs. Effectively manage marketing investment to maximize ROI and optimize communications and marketing efficiency.
    • In partnership with business unit Marketing leads and HBI Consumer Insights team, leverage insights to identify innovation opportunities which will drive intimate apparel brand growth.
    • Identify brand extendibility opportunities and partner with business unit Marketing organization and/or licensees to develop appropriate market entry strategies for new category initiatives.
    • Manage influencer relationships, brand alliances and strategic partnerships to support brand positioning and equity, and drive consumer engagement.
    • Maintain a high-performance work environment and provide leadership throughout areas of responsibility to insure optimum internal and external partner relationships. Manage and develop direct reports in Brand Marketing team to ensure development of strong brand marketing and leadership skills.
    • Provide brand marketing updates to senior management, key stakeholders and Customer Management groups as needed.
    • Manage brand budgets including annual planning and monthly budget reporting

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

      

    To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status

    • BA/BS degree required; MBA preferred.
    • Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in brand marketing, digital marketing agency or e-commerce marketing
    • Expertise in brand management, marketing to millennials (via digital and social media, B2C marketing and influencer marketing) and e-commerce
    • Experience in agency management
    • Experience in leveraging consumer data to drive online sales growth
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under tight deadlines and work effectively in a highly matrixed organization.
    • The successful candidate will have outstanding leadership and communications skills, excellent interpersonal/people skills, strong analytical skills, impeccable business ethics and a track record of delivering business results.
    • Knowledge of apparel marketplace and retailer trends a plus
