  • Overview

    The Senior Manager, Management Reporting, is responsible for the global finance data integrity, data governance and system balancing between the financial reporting system (HFM) and finance BI applications (etc. SAMBA). Partner with various Financial Business Support and IT personnel for data quality stewardship and data resolution. In addition to global data administrative functions for “actuals”, the Senior Manager, Management Reporting will manage processes to load and validate forecasting data. Assist on the integration of financial data into BI applications for acquired entities. The Senior Manager, Management Reporting will partner with IT/CAO organization on the overall BI strategy and implementation of said strategy. 

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the processes to load and validate data into reporting systems (i.e., global SAMBA admin) – both actual financial data results, as well as, forecasted data (both domestic and international entities).
    • Manage required Sarbanes Oxley controls applicable to this process.
    • Maintain and manage various alternate reporting scenarios/hierarchies for various internal reporting requirements (i.e. HR reporting requirements based on sales hierarchy, performance metrics, etc.)
    • Responsible for the standardization and automation of the business reporting process and the BI reporting platform - globally.
    • Provide global data governance support to improve data accuracy for reporting.
    • Support senior finance management and the  business with implementation of new reports and metrics (i.e., reporting and data requirements;
    • Partner with IT to enhance the BI reporting for both legacy and acquired entities (i.e., detail data loads at appropriate level for all entities to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements).
    • Execute on opportunities to improve CAO technology foundation and processes.
    • Oversee CAO project controls and ensure quality requirements, test plans and go-live readiness (integration of acquired entities, financial restatements, etc.)
    • Many projects will be time sensitive, so ability to schedule activities and work under pressure is required.
    • Responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all business and management and executive reporting. 
    • Partner with finance functions in the delivery of all internal monthly reporting packages and other internal senior management reporting, as well as develop and implement processes to improve business analytic capabilities.
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining policies surrounding global financial data in order to standardize reporting and maximize efficiencies between business and external reporting.
    • Conduct and continually improve processes that meet accounting and business reporting delivery deadlines.
    • Manage aggregation and consolidation of financial data for reporting.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

     

    • BS/BA in Accounting or Business related field
    • MS/MBA preferred
    • 8+ years of financial data and financial system/application experience
    • In depth knowledge of ERP systems and multi-dimensional reporting systems such as Hyperion, Essbase and Microsoft Analysis required
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with finance management and other business leaders
    • Team player with developed interpersonal and communication (written, oral, and presentation) skills
    • Good conceptual, critical thinking, analytical, quantitative skills and the ability to problem solve
    • Must be able to work independently
